For over a decade in the high-pressure world of professional kitchens, I lived off adrenaline and endless cups of coffee. As a chef, I loved creating food that brought people joy, but the grueling lifestyle took a toll on my mind and body eventually leading to severe burnout and a destructive bout of leaky gut.
When my health forced me to stop and reevaluate, I knew I needed to change my relationship with stress and caffeine.
As a chef, I wasn't willing to compromise on flavor, and as a holistic health educator, I wanted functional benefits that wouldn't overstimulate me. I needed a warm nourishing daily ritual that healed my gut rather than irritating it.
Unable to find anything on the market in 2017 that met my standards, I stepped into the kitchen and created my own solutions. I began experimenting with adaptogens, mushrooms, and superfoods, laying the groundwork for Mushroom Mana which was established in 2021.
